We were having problems with an old rollstock machine of ours. Finding someone capable of servicing a machine of that age was proving to be very difficult. I met John at our state convention and he mentioned he might be able to help. He was able to get the machine up and running quickly and we now have him servicing the rest of our equipment. John's service was fast, thorough and friendly and I'll recommend his services every chance I get!
I've had John help me with a very old packaging machine. This machine is so old that many parts cannot be found for it. John very diligently worked through the problems the machine had and got me up and running. He would not give up on the machine because he knew how critical it was to our operation. Tony met John at the convention and he talked to him about a Sipromac VacPak machine that we have had about 4 different people look at and couldn't find the problem. John came to the store and in no time had the problem fixed. He also did the oil and maintenance on our Handtmann stuffer. He is very straight forward person. He also knows what he is doing and is fast at it. We would recommend him to anyone with a problem or preventative maintenance on your machine.

When I was referred to John by a parts supplier I gave him a call and he was so willing to come and help us out he was there by that afternoon. He found the problem at hand and we were able to order the part that day. When we got the new part and installed we found that that was only the beginning and we were not able to tell that until we changed the first part out. After that we called John up again and he was quick to come down again. He got here at about 8:30 in the morning and we went through the machine step by step and were able to get it running by 9:30. He explained everything very well to me as well and offered to come in another day to train us on more preventative maintenance to keep our machine maintained for the future as well as other machines in our facility. We were very grateful to have John help us in such a trying situation and on such short notice.

I own several stores with various types of equipment. I have my own maintenance crew but there are always issues that are too involved for them to take care of. I had another technical service company helping me for many years and spent a lot of money on them and never saw really good results. I was referred to John by one of my competitors and though reluctant I decided to give him a try. Having Sperlpak service my equipment for the last couple years has been one of the best investments I have made to date. He never ceases to amaze me at the quality of work, knowledge, and very fair prices he offers. He has talked my guys through many problems over the phone many times and not once did I receive a bill for that. In one case I accidentally sent a check for about $20 over his invoice and I received a check from Sperl-Pak and invoice copy in the mail three days later with a note stating I had overpayed. You just dont see honesty like that anymore and it's reasons like this that I will continue to call on John for all of my equipment repairs, preventative repairs, and parts.
John was able to fine tune some used equipment that I purchased. He is a very friendly guy who really knows what he is talking about. I would recommend his services to anyone who has trouble with their equipment. I am sure I will get him to fix more of my stuff through the years, as should everyone. Thanks John.
We were having problems with our vacuum packer, and after a long drawn out process of trying to talk to a rep over the phone, I decided to ask another local company (Nolecheks Meats) who services their machines. They referred me to John Sperl of Sperl-Pak Repair. He was able to come over soon after I called him, and had our machine figured out and running on one motor in less than an hour! It was a relief because we needed the machine for a large order that had been placed. He re-built our other motor, and we were still able to use our machine in the meantime. The service Sperl Pak provides, and the quality of the work they do is fantastic. John even took the time to explain some of the ins and outs of our machine so I feel more comfortable using it. John came into our shop about 8 months ago and thankfully it was a day that I had an open mind. John told me that he had his own repair company and that he also sold butcher supplies. After a short conversation I had a great idea. There was an old Hobart slicer in the back with bad bearings and other issues so I asked him if he was interested in fixing it. He said he would be happy to so we loaded it into his overly crowded van. In fact I mentioned that I was not in a rush and that he could come back to get it when he had more room but he insisted on getting it into the van that day and he did so. I was so glad. John brought the slicer back 2 weeks later running silent and smooth with a very sharp blade and with the automatic function again working all at a low cost. Since then he has gone over our Multivac, PS smokehouse (new motor bearings and damper motors), Biro saw, Hog stunner, bakery oven, and he has sent me replacement parts for my very old but trusty Hobart saw. Hobart could not get these parts for me. Everything John has worked on has been running excellent since...unlike some other techs & pros that are out there. You are doing yourself a favor if you give him a try. After he has repaired some things for you, you will have a much better piece of mind. And a happy checkbook. Also, give him a chance to sharpen your grinder plates/knives and try his bandsaw blades....you wont be sorry.
